Second Annual Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Core Center Research Symposium, Beyond Amyloid: Call For Abstracts

The MADCC is hosting the second annual MADCC research symposium, Beyond Amyloid! The keynote speakers will be Dr. Charles DeCarli, MD, Director of the Alzheimer’s Disease Center, UC Davis presenting on “Vascular Risk and Aβ Interaction: Reducing Cortical Thickness in AD Vulnerable Brain Regions” and Dr. Caleb Finch, PhD–ARCO/William F. Kieschnick Professor Neurobiology of Aging, USC presenting on “Air Pollution and its effect on the Aging Brain”. The event will be held on May 7, 2018 from 7:30am – 4:00pm at the Wayne State University Student Center Ballroom on the Second Floor (5221 Gullen Mall, Detroit, 48202). Keynote speakers and featured lectures will be complemented by a poster session from the three participating universities – Wayne State University, the University of Michigan, and Michigan State University. We encourage you and your colleagues to submit an abstract for consideration of a poster presentation. We are particularly interested in abstracts that are relevant to the ADCC’s overall theme: the non-amyloid contributions to brain dysfunction and neuronal cell death in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Please submit abstracts of 250 words or less to vrorai@wayne.edu by April 2, 2018.
