The Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center and the Alzheimer’s Association are teaming up again this year for the annual Spring Conference in Ann Arbor. The conference, titled “Alternative Approaches to Dementia Care: Staying Connected Along the Journey” is one for families and health care professionals featuring a keynote presentation by Karen Stobbe, author and star of “Sometimes You Gotta Laugh”, an educational and entertaining take on Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving, humor, and stress. Other presenters include experts in aging and dementia from the University of Michigan: Susan Maixner, MD, Nancy Barbas, MD, MSW, and Laura Rice-Oeschger, LMSW.
