Women & Brain Health with AARP

December 3, 2020 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Why does dementia affect more women more than men? We’ll talk about the biological and social factors now thought to be behind the gender disparities, and offer practical steps women can take to improve their brain health and overall wellness. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions live.

Presenters include:

  • Sarah Lenz Lock, AARP Senior Vice President and Executive Director of the Global Council on Brain Health;
  • Kate Zhong, founder of the Women’s Brain Health Initiative at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas; and
  • Laura Rice-Oeschger, Managing Director of the Wellness Initiative at the University of Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center.

AARP Michigan will host this live event on the AARP Michigan Facebook page. It will also be available via YouTube. You can register for the event here:
