Mindfulness-based Dementia Care

Thank you for your interest in our Mindfulness-based Dementia Care program.

Mindfulness-based Dementia Care is an eight-week program designed for family caregivers of adults living with dementia. We currently do not offer programs to professional caregivers. The program shares how the practice of mindfulness can provide support during the challenges and stresses of dementia care.

This course is part of our Center’s Wellness Initiative and is led by Laura Rice-Oeschger, LMSW. Laura holds advances professional certifications in aging, dementia and contemplative clinical care, and has extensive professional training in Mindfulness-based Dementia Care and Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction.

Mindfulness-based Dementia Care is currently offered virtually. Classes meet weekly and attendance each week is required for course participation. Some outside practice and reviewing course material between classes is also expected.
